Kit Sorted · Version 1.0 · Effective 26 October 2026
Kit Sorted is a business name of AI Architecture Lab Pty Ltd (ABN 12 700 913 453) ("we", "us", "our"), which also provides software setup services to businesses under the name AI Architecture Lab. 54 North Street, Leichhardt NSW 2040, Australia · hello@kitsorted.com.au
1. Our approach
We collect as little personal information as we need, use it only to deal with you, and keep a person responsible for how it's handled. We use the Australian Privacy Principles as a benchmark for how we handle personal information, whether or not every obligation applies to us in a particular circumstance.
2. How the website works today
- The website has no forms and doesn't ask you to submit personal information.
- It uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and loads no third-party scripts.
- The job app picker works in your browser. Your answers stay in your open browser tab and we don't receive them.
- There's no newsletter or mailing list yet. Emailing us doesn't subscribe you to one.
- You contact us by email, using your own email program.
- Dennis reads every message. AI tools may assist with sorting and drafting, and a person reviews every reply before it is sent. AI tools don't send replies on their own.
- Links to vendors are plain links. If you follow one, you leave this website and that vendor's privacy policy applies.
3. Information we collect
When you visit the website. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver and secure the website. We don't use that information to identify or profile visitors.
When you email us. We receive your email address, your name if you include it, the whole message and any attachments. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message, including its content, to a mailbox of AI Architecture Lab Pty Ltd (contact@aiarchitecturelab.com), which is hosted by Hostinger.
Sensitive information and other people's details. We don't ask for sensitive information. Please don't email health information, passwords, payment-card details or government identifiers. Please don't send other people's personal details unless you need to. If we receive sensitive information we don't need, we'll delete it.
4. How we use it
- to read and reply to your message, and to make any correction you ask for
- to run our business: records, security and our legal obligations
We don't sell or rent personal information. We don't give vendors, affiliate programs or sponsors your details without your separate consent. Emailing us doesn't subscribe you to a newsletter or marketing list. If you ask about AI Architecture Lab's services, AI Architecture Lab's privacy policy (aiarchitecturelab.com/privacy) explains how that information is handled.
5. How we use AI tools
- Research and drafting: AI tools help us research public vendor pages and draft Buy Briefs. A person is responsible for what we publish.
- Email: AI tools may read your message and help us sort it and draft a reply. A person reviews every reply before it is sent. AI tools don't send replies on their own.
- Providers: the providers of these tools handle information under their own terms, and may process and store it outside Australia, including in the United States.
- Least information: we use the least information that's useful for the task.
6. Automated decisions
We don't use computer programs to make decisions, or to do things substantially and directly related to making decisions, that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect an individual's rights or interests. AI-assisted sorting and drafting of email, with a person reviewing every reply, is administrative support. If that changes, we'll update this policy before the change takes effect.
7. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed to run Kit Sorted:
- service providers that host our website and email: Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding), Hostinger (our mailbox) and MailChannels (Hostinger's email delivery provider, used for our replies). MailChannels' terms allow it to view, copy and internally share the content and metadata of messages it handles, including to build spam-detection systems and train machine-learning models, and it keeps delivery logs for up to 35 days and may keep them longer. Hostinger's data processing terms list further sub-processors, including an artificial intelligence provider; we haven't confirmed which Hostinger features use it.
- the providers of the AI tools described in section 5. They are listed separately from the hosting and email providers above, and this list doesn't say which provider runs which tool.
- professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, where needed
- anyone we're required or authorised by law to disclose to
8. Processing outside Australia
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. Cloudflare runs a global network, so request data such as IP addresses, and forwarded messages, may be processed outside Australia. Our mailbox is hosted by Hostinger, which may store email outside Australia, and our replies are sent through Hostinger's mail servers and MailChannels, which may also process them outside Australia. The AI tools in section 5 and their providers may process and store messages outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries. We haven't confirmed the exact countries used by our email providers, so we don't name them, and we'll update this policy when we do. We aim to use reputable providers with appropriate security and privacy commitments.
9. Storage, security, retention and breaches
- We keep email in our mailbox and business systems, with access limited to the people and tools described in sections 5 and 7, together with those providers' own sub-processors.
- We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it to deal with your message and for legitimate business purposes, or as the law requires. Then we delete or de-identify it. Some copies may remain in backups or version history for a period before being overwritten, including copies held by our providers under their own terms.
- Our internal working files keep version history that can't be fully erased, so we don't use them to record members of the public's details.
- If we suspect a data breach, we'll take reasonable steps to assess it within 30 days of becoming aware of it. If it's likely to cause serious harm, we'll notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable.
10. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask for access to, or correction or deletion of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@kitsorted.com.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days, and there's no charge to make a request. When we delete information at your request, we remove it from our mailbox and working files, except anything we must keep by law. Copies held by our providers are handled under their terms and may remain, including in backups, for a period.
11. Questions and complaints
Email hello@kitsorted.com.au with "Privacy" in the subject, or write to us at the address above. We'll acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy before we change how we collect or use personal information, for example before we open a newsletter or add a form, analytics or affiliate links. The current version and its effective date are shown on this page.
