Sponsor policy

We're not selling sponsorship yet. This is the policy that will apply when we do.

The rules

• Sponsored placements are always labelled Sponsored and sit visually apart from recommendations.
• A sponsor can't buy, move or edit a pick, a ranking, an evidence label or a 'When this is NOT a good fit' section.
• A sponsored product can still be called not a good fit, or left out of a Buy Brief entirely.
• Our build refuses to publish a page where a sponsored product is the recommended pick.
• Sponsors don't see or approve Buy Briefs before they're published.
• Every sponsored claim about a product must be approved by Dennis Wills before it goes live.
• We won't sell sponsorship until the site has meaningful traffic, so sponsors aren't paying for nothing.
